Hi, and welcome to my Website!

I am an amateur photographer living in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. I have been passionate about photography for most of my life and consider myself very fortunate to live in such a beautiful part of Canada that has such diversity of subjects to photograph.

Whenever I travel, I am essentially an opportunist, and might photograph anything that catches my eye. Sometimes I have carried a huge view camera on trips or sometimes all my digital gear for days on end, without ever using it. Photography is a special part of what makes me who I am. Getting out and enjoying nature is one thing; photographic beauty itself is something else, and far more elusive. I love the health and solitude of walking the Alberta prairies, mountains and forests, so that is where I spend my free time and my camera always goes with me. Yet I am not seeking to "capture" nature the way the pioneers once attempted to conquer and exploit the wilderness. I find much comfort in being out in nature and appreciate the balance it provides to me in my day to day life.

If I can share some of the emotions and thoughts I feel with viewers, then I have accomplished what any artist seeks. So thanks for stopping by, and I hope you feel a connection with some of my images.
